1950s Trifari Double Strand Pearl Bracelet with Diamante Clasp

This elegant 1950s to early 1960s bracelet was designed by renowned American costume jewellery house Trifari. It is composed of two strands, each threaded with 21 substantial glass faux pearls which have a pleasing weight and retain an excellent lustrous nacre. The bracelet is finished with an elaborate rhodium-plated box clasp inspired by scrolling Art Nouveau floral forms. It is set throughout with sparkling diamantes and centred with a large baguette-cut crystal, giving the fastening the appearance of a piece of fine jewellery. The rhodium plating remains superb and all of the stones appear to be original. The reverse of the clasp is signed TRIFARI with the characteristic crown above the “T”. Introduced in the late 1930s, the crowned-T signature remained in use into the 1960s, with its last documented use around 1968. This helps place the bracelet within the house’s mid-century production. In excellent vintage condition with no flaws of any note. The glass pearls retain their excellent nacre, the rhodium-plated clasp is beautifully preserved and all of the original stones remain present. Please refer to the measurements below for fit.
