A stunning Dolce & Gabbana slip-style dress, featuring a richly layered abstract floral pattern in gold, burnt orange, vibrant red and deep blacks. Cut in a body-hugging silhouette, with a low, softly gathered neckline and delicate adjustable straps; lined with delicate lace trim and sheer lace panelling at the hem and a matching panel sits at the shoulder blades on the reverse. The dress is constructed with shaped cups, a mock underwire seam that lends some structure to an otherwise relaxed lingerie style silhouette. A careful oval cut out on the reverse, panelling that accentuates the waist and contours the figure. Dolce and Gabanna often uses ‘lingerie as outwear’ in their design language. The house has often experimented with corsetry, slips, exposed bras and lace trims, turning usually concealed elements into the focal point of a piece.
