Paco Rabanne's futuristic designs set him apart when he launched his namesake label in 1966. His use of nonconventional materials such as chain metal and plastics molded to the body are some of the most sought after designs in fashion of the 20th century. Paco Rabanne is synonymous with Space Age fashion along with Pierre Cardin and André Courrèges. This unusual mid 1970s batik print shirt is tailored from a lightweight sheer cotton with an intricate brown, orange and white tie-dye design. The silhouette is of its era, with a stiff, elongated dagger collar and long, slim body. The front of the shirt and the cuffs fasten with pearlescent buttons. The shirt is finished with a patch pocket at the chest that is adorned with a black and white “P” logo patch and is unlined. In excellent vintage condition - it looks barely worn if at all.
